This soda giant utilized a polar bear starting all the way back in 1922 and is still running to this day and continues to make its annual appearance every season. We’re proudly located in Pennsylvania, so we can’t finish this blog with anything else other than the yearly holiday campaigns of Hershey! The memorable and long running (31 years to be exact) Hershey’s Kiss ad of festive candies imitating bells to popular Christmas carols is one of the big ones that marks the start of the season. Hershey’s was inventive and minimal and their efforts continue to be repeatable and relatable each and every Christmas season. For this candy specifically, the holiday change in packaging is simple: red, green, gold, and silver wrapping instead of the typical shiny wrappers that are present the rest of the year. 

Don’t be afraid to take a tip of two from Hershey about repeatability and impact because just the fact that it has continued so long must mean it’s working pretty darn well! This one landed so well that when Hershey attempted to update the commercial in 2020, people took to social media to air their love for the original, causing Hershey to air both the new and original ads since then. Wow! With just a small change each season, Hershey has created a lasting impression that their customers not only expect but desire every year.
