Sales Representative

Method of Pay: Salary plus bonus
The Sales Representative is responsible for prospecting new customers and working with current customers to understand needs and to offer products that meet those needs. The primary focus is on selling labels, with a secondary focus on offset and promotional products. This position represents the image of the company to the customer and must consider this in all aspects of interaction with the customer including professionalism, timeliness, manner of speaking, service orientation and in other ways.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Prospect customers using the internet, social media, company lists and other methods to identify potential customers
- Contact potential customers via phone, emails and visits as appropriate, including cold calling
- Send company information or samples to customers and prospects as appropriate
- Maintain records of contact and response; follow up using the appropriate tool, currently Sales Force
- Serve as the primary contact for customers ensuring to track their orders, their needs and their frequency of orders
- Build relationships with customers, understanding their needs and communication style
- Visit or contact customers on a frequency necessary to serve their needs; following up on current or future orders
- Communicate with Customer Service to obtain quotes; when appropriate create quotes independently ensuring Customer Service is aware of the quote
- Strive to stay in the communication loop with the customer through the whole process; partnering with Customer Service to support them and stay involved
- Responsible for sales metrics, including sales quotas, new customers, and customer retention among others

- High school diploma or GED required

The Counter and Lead Counter are responsible for the proper set up and running of label orders according to customer requirements, maintaining high levels of quality and attention to safety. In addition to assigned counter jobs the Lead Counter assists the Production Manager in scheduling jobs in the department and assigning jobs to other counters and performing quality checks of work in the department.
Essential Responsibilities:
• Take customer orders assigned and read each order thoroughly
• Set up machine according to the specifications of the order
• Measure label sizes to set up counter settings and core sizes appropriately
• Run a quality check of each job prior to running a full job. Obtain assistance or approval as needed prior to running the full job
• Process the full run of labels according to the customer’s specifications
• Print address label and core labels
• Determine packaging size and quantity if not already provided in the job information
• Package product according to requirements
• Process the inventory according to procedure; larger jobs may need to be placed on skids.
• Complete daily job to job press sheet to track each job
Other Responsibilities:

• Clean and maintain work area, including removing trash

The Printing Press Operator is responsible for managing all jobs scheduled for their printing press in a manner that follows customer specifications and art department requirements to a high level of detail. Responsible for coordinating all supply usage and planning jobs with the most efficient use of raw materials. All work is done with a focus on quality and safety.
Essential Responsibilities:
• Set up, maintain and organize the daily schedule of inks and materials based on the jobs of the day; organizing them by the types of raw materials used in order to be most efficient.
• Use the job folder which contains all specifications and manually set up the printing press to run the job accordingly
• Place appropriate roll stock on the press, handle dies and print cylinders as needed
• Run a sample print prior to running a full job; measure and quality check each job based on specifications set by the customer
• Communicate with the Production Manager for final approval prior to running the full job
• Run and finish the full job and give file to the Lead Counter. Communicate with the lead counter any parameters of each job
• Complete daily job-to-job press sheet to track each job
• Keep records of finish product samples for matching to repeat jobs in the future from each customer
• Follow required maintenance schedule that is to be completed each day. Complete maintenance as appropriate; communicating to the appropriate technician if higher levels of maintenance are required
Other Responsibilities:
• Attend weekly and periodic meetings as necessary
• Write pull tags for each job if the Production Manager is not available; or if asked to do it
• Order parts through the digital provider for the machine as needed to maintain the maintenance schedule or to address machine downtime

Flexo Supervisor
Reports to: Production Manager
Typical Work Hours: Seasonal 6 am-2:30 pm or 6:30 am to 3:00 pm M-F
Manager and Assistant manager have the inverse of each other

FLSA Classification: Non-Exempt
Method of Pay: Hourly
The Flexo Supervisor is responsible for all operations of the flexo production team, ensuring that product is completed on time, at a high level of quality and with safety as a top priority. They are responsible for delegating tasks to their team and keeping production manager appraised of any issues. They must collaborate with other departments to ensure production goals and customer expectations are met.
Essential Responsibilities:
Production
- Works with production manager to determine best run schedules
- Details stock needs and creates pull tags for material needs
- If applicable if stock is not available, makes alternative arrangements to keep the production schedule full and notify Sr. management of material needs
- Communicates with warehouse for raw material needs
- Assigns jobs to press operator according to production needs
- Keeps track of the schedule and manages the schedule to meet production deadlines throughout the day
- Assists in press setup if needed
- Provides quality checks prior to a full job running
- Answers questions and helps to troubleshoot for in-process issues
- Involves production manager if problems cannot be resolved on the floor
- Assigns jobs to counters if necessary
- Assigns orders to shipping or inventory as needed (i.e. blanket orders)
- Must know how to run all equipment on the floor and be cross trained in all positions to step in to any gap or opening.
Management
- Interview candidates as part of the hiring process
- Assigns trainer for employees on their team
- Evaluates and documents performance, addressing both positive items and concerns
- Conducts periodic employee performance discussions and updates
- Attends weekly (Monday morning) briefings
- Attend and be prepared for manager meetings as scheduled
- Approves time off requests for their team
- Requests overtime approvals and assigns approved overtime
- Looks for and identifying process improvements in their area of responsibility

Qualifications:
- HS diploma or GED required
- Degree in business or manufacturing preferred, or at least 8 years of experience in a production environment
- Prior printer experience, flexographic printing experience preferred
- Prior supervisory experience preferred
- Basic math skills required
- Fork truck certification preferred
